POST SOCIAL CONTENT LIKE A PRO

Many business owners want to post content but have a hard time finding the time or the right content to post. You are not alone. Many business owners just are so busy with their business that they can't find the time to go and post everyday or throughout the day which is understandable, you are running your business.

But then you will see some business that are posting at all hours of the day and night. Well here are a couple of tips to help you on your social media.

• Perception is reality (it appears they are posting at all hours of the night, but chances are, they aren't)

• They may have a dedicated person doing this for them (and it might be them) More to come on this.

Let's look at how you can post like a pros by doing it yourself.

ORGANIZATION & SCHEDULING

Have a posting system is key. This will allow you to schedule ALL of your content to post at given times and intervals as you see fit. Compiling all of the content and then scheduling it, saves you TIME and ENERGY. Now you will post everything at given times for a week or month and then set it and forget it.

Schedule your content to go out at different times of the day and night and to ensure there is some randomness to it.

CONTENT

Having the content is part of the battle that most people struggle with. What usually happens is that they don't post a whole lot of content and then someone takes a photo at an event or something, and someone says, 'we should put that on Facebook'. Yes you should but you could also be posting a bunch of other content as well.

• Start by making a list of ideas, photos, images, messages and things you would like to convey

• Much will be repititve (that's ok) - just re-package and re-word

• Compile it so that you have 5-10 good pieces of content to post for a week or two.

• Keep the content for future posts as well. It is ok to post the same piece of content over and over again.

IDEAS

If you need some ideas, use these to get your own social posting ideas flowing.

• Employee pics - take pics of your employees, smiling or doing their job. Then write a one liner about awesome they are, how long they have worked with you and then thank them in the post

• This is something EVERYONE can do, easily

• Depending on how many employees you have, can provide quite a bit of content for you

• Then just post one employee per week- if you have 6 employees you have 6-weeks of posts

• Customer pics - ask a customer if you can take a pic of them smiling and post it.

• 'We love our customers'

• Doesn't have to be anything fancy or elaborate

• Employees/ customers in action working or talking with each other

• Your product(s)

• Post pics and one liners of what you offer

• Special Offers - although this doesn't generate usually, a lot of interaction, at least you have something going on.

• Events - company outings pics

• Special Calendar Days - today is 'National Thank Your Secretary Day' and then tag your employees

• Holidays - holidays are some of the easiest. You know when they are. Go ahead and post one piece per day leading up to Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.

• You can literally post anything - just compile and schedule the posts and they will slowly trickle out.

WHEN TO DO THIS

• Once a week/ month, you or someone in the office, sit down and take 15-30 minutes and start by scheduling the content to trickle out over the next week or month

• Then, do it again next month or week (just put it on your calendar)

• Don't over complicate it - make it easy on yourself.

HOW AND TOOLS
